# Verilo — company overview

Verilo is software that helps online retailers assess customer reports of damaged products. Instead of asking for photographs, a merchant sends the customer a Verification Link. The customer opens it on their phone, with no app or account, and follows a guided capture of about a minute: the shipping label, the item, the damage up close and a slow movement around the item.

Verilo reads the label against the order's tracking number, compares the item with the store's own product images, and uses motion, light and handling signals to show that a physical item was in front of the camera at the time. It returns one of three Results, Verified, Needs Review or Unable to Verify, with each check explained, inside the merchant's existing helpdesk ticket. The merchant decides what to do; Verilo never refunds, rejects or decides a claim.

Verilo works with Shopify and connects to the Gorgias, Zendesk and Intercom helpdesks. It launched on the Shopify App Store on 14 October 2026. Plans start at US$29 a month. Founder: Bailee Satie. Website: verilo.app. Media: hello@verilo.app.

## Founder

Bailee Satie is an Australian technology founder and the founder of Verilo. He is originally from Perth, Western Australia, one of the world's most geographically isolated major cities.

In 2026, he independently relocated to Bangkok, Thailand, to build and launch Verilo. The platform went live on the Shopify App Store in October 2026, when he was 23. It addresses a problem that generative AI has sharpened: many online retailers still settle damage claims on customer photographs, at a time when convincing images have become easy to produce.

Verilo replaces the uploaded photograph with a short, guided live capture in the customer's phone browser, and returns the evidence and a Result to the retailer's support ticket. Through Verilo, Bailee is working to rethink how online retailers assess product damage claims, moving from static photographs toward guided, interactive verification.

> "As AI-generated images become increasingly convincing, I think retailers need to reconsider how they establish trust in the evidence behind a damage claim. I started Verilo because I believe that verification should happen when evidence is captured, rather than trying to determine whether a photograph has been manipulated after it's already been submitted."
